A pastel class for beginners and intermediate students working with soft pastels. We will discuss the various materials available in the pastel media and how they are used then begin to work. Each week there will be a different focus on techniques and execution of the pastel painting with demonstrations by the instructor. Starting from a simple still life to painting from an inspirational landscape photo, students will gradually hone their skills to complete a finished painting.
