Past Instructors
Specializing in contemporary acrylics, Theresa Eisenbarth lives in Medicine Hat, Alberta, where she is continually building connections through the stories in her art. She teaches art classes and conducts workshops using mixed media painting materials.
After finishing her Bachelor of Fine Arts degree at the University of Calgary, Theresa returned to art and painting after several years of busy family life. Theresa has honed her painting skills by pouring over art books, and practicing with a variety of media.
Theresa has exhibited extensively around Southern Alberta. Her paintings are in many private collections and are sold in galleries across Canada.
Ruth Adams started out in art college by completing a diploma in graphics and printing, then went onto complete an undergrad in Art and Design with Honors. I’m currently a full-time artist. I divide my time between pottery, painting and teaching. She is passionate about creating and improving my art and passing on the knowledge I’ve gained.
Judy lives with her husband George, on a ranch in the Cypress Hills. Originally her grandfather’s homestead the ranch has been in her family for over 100 years. The Cypress Hills offer inspiration as Judy attempts to capture the spirit and essence of the Hills. Over time her art has evolved to be more dynamic pieces inspired by the ever-changing symphony of light and shadow on natural forms. Much of Judy’s art shows the interplay of reflections and shadows on ice and snow.
Art has been an interest of Judy’s since childhood; Judy enrolled in art classes at university and in various classes throughout her 34-year career as a teacher and counsellor. Following retirement, Judy has focused on pursuing her personal artistic skill development.
