Rex Beanland
Rex began painting in watercolour as a youngster and he continues to love this medium. Something in that mysterious interaction between water and pigment continues to fascinate and inspire him.
A number of years ago he began focusing on the Urban Landscape and with that his career really took off. He was awarded signature status in The Canadian Society of Painters in Water Colour, The Federation of Canadian Artists and the Society of Canadian Artists.
In the past year his interests and subject matter have continued to change and evolve but what has stayed the same is a commitment to a bold use of the medium as well as a desire to create paintings that tell a story.
He was a public-school teacher for many years and this taught him the art of teaching. This ability to teach combined with his passion for watercolour make his workshops an experience not to be missed.

Judy Russill
Judy lives with her husband George, on a ranch in the Cypress Hills. Originally her grandfather’s homestead the ranch has been in her family for over 100 years. The Cypress Hills offer inspiration as Judy attempts to capture the spirit and essence of the Hills. Over time her art has evolved to be more dynamic pieces inspired by the ever-changing symphony of light and shadow on natural forms. Much of Judy’s art shows the interplay of reflections and shadows on ice and snow.
Art has been an interest of Judy’s since childhood; Judy enrolled in art classes at university and in various classes throughout her 34-year career as a teacher and counsellor. Following retirement, Judy has focused on pursuing her personal artistic skill development.

Canada couldn’t be a better place to live. But for me as an artist, the close proximity of the prairies,
Foothills and mountains of Alberta makes my home province a never-ending dream. Doug's paintings are housed in private and public collections around the world.
