Servus Credit Union and the HAT ART CLUB are proud to partner together to offer the Artists Participating in the Biennial Show at the Esplanade several awards:
STRONG. SECURE. YOURS.
The “Servus Innovation Award” of $125 will be presented an artist who has been a Member of the Hat Art Club for 5 years or less and:
whose approach in representing the challenges of the theme “Our New Normal: Life during Covid-19” embodies Servus’ value of innovation in the face of adversity
boldly executes a unique perspective in their work.
The “Servus Legacy Award” of $125 will be presented to an artist who has been a Member of the Hat Art Club for over 5 years and continues to exemplify Servus’ tenets of “Community Involvement and Volunteerism.” This award will be presented to the artist meeting these criteria whose submission:
executes exemplary technique in their medium.
exhibits an individual style of expression and originality in their composition on the theme “Our New Normal: Life during Covid-19”.
demonstrates deep understanding of their medium of expression, incorporating strong use of the “Elements of Art” and “Principles of Design” in their aesthetic
Our final award was made possible through the donations provided in Allan Jensen’s memory to the Hat Art Club.
The “Allan Jensen Memorial Award'' of $300 is open to all participating artists in any medium. It will be presented to the artist whose original artistic work, in the estimation of the adjudicator(/s):
best reflects the theme “Our New Normal”.
shows understanding of the “Principles of Design.”
is competently executed.
is prepared to the standards established by the Hat Art Club and the Medicine Hat Potters Association.
